For those of you who I have not yet had the opportunity of meeting I do look forward to meeting you at some point in time.
My name is Maureen Kelso and I was appointed by the institute in October 2013 as Head of Education and Qualifications but slight title change to Head of Education and Standards now.
I have been in the Industry for many years working from operative to supervisor and then to management and during this period have worked in healthcare transportation and education to name but a few.
I also thoroughly enjoyed a three year period delivering BICSc training and assessment to many individuals in various roles within the industry throughout the UK.
I have been a member of the institute since 1993 and have had the pleasure of meeting many individuals who like me see cleaning as not only a vital role within the workplace but also a career path.
I am committed to raising the profile of all who work within the industry and my role here at the institute allows me to play a part in working towards our goal.
As many of you will be aware CPSS 2.0 was launched on the 1st August 2014 and has a completely new exciting look and content which I hope will fit more substantially in today’s working environment.
Some assessors already have their new kits and I hope you will agree with the new content and layout for those who have still to be exchanged we do value your feedback via the online site once your verifier has been to exchange your kit or kits which will be at the time of your annual audit unless prior arrangements have been made.
We are also nearly in position to launch our new product as well as other revised skills so exciting time for us all.
Going forward I shall be issuing assessor bulletins every three months and should you have any particular subject that you would like me to base the bulletin on then I would love to hear from you.
