The BICSc Annual Awards is the largest and most anticipated event in Cleaning Industry and Institute’s calendar. The awards ceremony celebrates the achievements of both individuals and organisations in the delivery of BICSc accredited training and assessment, indentifying examples of outstanding performance within the cleaning and FM industries.
The evening has a full range of category awards, of which you are eligible to enter the following categories:
1. The BICSc Award for Excellence in Training and Assessment within an Accredited Training Establishment - ATE (Private or Government Prison)
This award is for the delivery of BICSc accredited training and assessment within the prison service within the United Kingdom.
2. The BICSc Award for Excellence in Training and Assessment within an Accredited Training Organisation - ATO (in-house delivery to directly employed candidates)
This award is for training delivery within an accredited training organisation, which is approved to deliver BICSc training and assessment (CPSS), within the United Kingdom.
3. BICSc International Award for Outstanding Performance in Promotion of the Institute
The award is presented to the individual or organisation that have promoted BICSc accredited training and assessment standards outside of the United Kingdom, and achieved recognition of this within the cleaning industry on the international stage.
4. The BICSc Award for Outstanding Student of the Year
This award reflects the achievement of an individual and their successful completion of a BICSc qualification(s). Individuals can be nominated by an employer, assessor, BICSc Licenced Training Associate or another individual candidate. =The main focus being on how the student has been able to achieve their qualification(s), for example: overcoming personal challenges; how they have implemented the accredited training in the workplace; inspired others to undertake further learning; supported their career development; improved the cleaning standards of the working environment; maintains standards of excellence etc.
5. The BICSc Award for Outstanding Assessor of the Year
This award recognises the outstanding commitment of an individual assessor for the delivery of accredited BICSc training and assessments. Individual Assessors can be nominated by an employer, fellow assessor(s), BICSc Licenced Training Associate or individual candidate(s). Assessors considered for this award are recognised for their commitment to BICSc standards, exceptional accredited training, and to the needs of students going above and beyond expectations.

Your Verifier cannot assist you in your application. All entries received will be acknowledged by email from BICSc. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 2 weeks, please contact the BICSc office.
When to apply?
You can download your application form now and begin to prepare your submission immediately. The closing date for receiving entries is Friday 14th June 2013 at 5pm. The awards will be held on the evening of Thursday 26th September 2013 at Marriott Forest of Arden Hotel and Country Club, Warwickshire.
How the juding is done?
There are 3 phases to the judging process:
Phase 1 – Initial judging of submissions, from which a short list will be drawn up. Organisations/Indivduals not moving forward to the next phase will be contacted by BICSc at this point.
Phase 2 – Site judging visit will take place in the month of July only. Site judging visit is only required for categories 1 and 2 (Categories 3-5 do not require a site visit). Any organisation that cannot facilitate a site visit in July will not be eligible for the Awards. Organisations/Indivduals not moving forward to the next phase will be contacted by BICSc at this point and will receive a Certificate of Commendation.
Phase 3 – A final short list of 2 organisations from category 1 and 2 will be decided and contacted. Finalists from categories 3-5 will be decided and contacted. All finalists from categories 1-5 will be required to attend the Awards Dinner.
The winner for the Student and Assessor of the Year Award will not only receive an award, but will also receive a free place at the Awards Dinner and over-night accommodation.
