The popular Cleaning Industry Charity Golf Day was held at Dale Hill Hotel & Golf Club on the 3rd of June 2014. This was proudly supported by BICSc (London and Home Counties Region) & Cleaning Matters Magazine. Other supporters included Bunzl, Soluclean, Facilicom, Janitorial Express and NICE.
The event brings together golfers from within the cleaning industry for networking over a friendly game, but more importantly, to raise money for a charitable cause. This year’s selected charity is the Matthew Russo Foundation. Their work involves raising funds to help existing charities that support special needs children and help bereaved families. We are delighted to report that the day raised over £1,100.
Iain Huston, (member of the London & Home Counties Region), organised and ran the event.
“Thank you everyone who supported this year’s charity open, which was for a very worthy cause. Once again we got away with the weather and we are already looking forward to the next year’s event.“
Justin Calver also attended the event and commented on the day.
"An enjoyable time was had by all. The day offered a competitive game of golf and gave a brilliant chance for networking. The picturesque location of the Dale Hill course was an ideal location for the event and provided a relaxed atmosphere. BICSc would like to congratulate Iain Houston and thank him for all of his hard work in arranging the event and for raising such a substantial amount of money for charity."
