Northern Ireland Region hold Cleaning Operative of the Year awards

The BICSc Northern Ireland Region held their Cleaning Operative of the Year awards in Belfast's City Hall, on Monday 12th September 2016. 

The City of Belfast Lord Mayor Alderman Brian Kingston opened the ceremony in the company of the National Chair of BICSc Denise Hanson, Regional Chair Colm McGrath and Group Chief Executive Officer Stan Atkins.

Public and private cleaning organisations from across the region submitted their entries for the awards. Our Sponsors Zenith Hygiene, Consumable Products, Carey Floorcare, Kimberly-Clark, Bunzl and BICSc Northern Ireland, had the difficult task of judging the finalists.

The overall winner of the Cleaning Operative of the Year award was Sandra McFarlane representing The Belfast Trust in the Healthcare sector.

The Chairman of BICSc Northern Ireland gave a keynote speech in which he thanked the MC for the ceremony Mr Michael Henderson MBE and all nominators for putting forward their nominees for the Cleaning Operative of the Year. Michael highlighted the important role of all cleaning operatives across the various sectors and the valued contribution that they make to our lives.
