Part 1 Understanding COSHH Assessments
This online training provides the basic knowledge that is required to understand COSHH assessments.
The current COVID – 19 pandemic has meant that many cleaning companies have had to change the products they use whilst working through this pandemic. Hazardous substances can affect anyone, not just those who handle them regularly.
Operatives must understand COSHH assessments and how to use cleaning products/chemicals safely.
Designed to help operatives identify the risks and the control measures needed, and ensure that they understand how to work safely with hazardous substances.
Under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations 2002, regulation 12 states that ‘every employer who undertakes work which is liable to expose an employee to a substance hazardous to health shall provide that employee with suitable and sufficient information, instruction and training.’ Employees also have a legal responsibility to co-operate fully with their employer in order to enable them to meet their legal obligations.
