Training and Technical Support Bundles Terms and Conditions:

The BBS terms and conditions will apply to all purchases of Training and Technical Support Bundles from the date a purchase order, BACS payment, credit card or direct debit confirmation is received.

Where applicable, VAT, travel, accommodation, subsistence and other out of pocket expenses for the trainer or verifier are not included in the stated bundle prices.

Where applicable, the cost of CPSS kits are not included in the stated bundle prices.

Where applicable, the cost of skills cards and workbooks are included in the stated bundle prices.

Clients must be a current BICSc Corporate Member to access Independent Cleaning Quality Inspections as part of their bundle.

Any training or technical support days as part of the pre-booked bundle package must be used within 12 months of receipt of payment. Any unused days after this time will be lost and can not be transferred, refunded or to the following year or between businesses.

 

Payment

Payment for the chosen Training and Technical Support bundle can be split up into 12 equal direct debit payments over 12 months. Clients will be subject to a credit check to set up this method of payment.

Upfront payment for the full cost of the bundle will receive a 5% discount on the list price. Payment can be made by credit card, purchase order or by electronic transfer using the following bank details:

Venue

If training is being carried out at the client’s venue BBS require site photographs to include the training room, the cleaning cupboard and the equipment to be used during training.

If photographs are not received or have been received but show an unsatisfactory standard, we will advise on any changes or improvements to be made before training can take place.

Clients will also receive a full equipment list to ensure that all required equipment is available for the course.

All equipment must have a current PAT test sticker and the manufacturer’s instructions, COSHH sheets (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) and MSDS (Manufacturers Safety Data Sheet) must be provided for all chemicals and equipment as appropriate. The client must ensure all equipment is clean and fit for purpose.

 

Training delivery

Training or technical support must be delivered at the clients site.

Clients must be a current BICSc Corporate Member to access Independent Cleaning Quality Inspections as part of their bundle.

BBS reserve the right to alter training programmes when it is obvious that The British Institute of Cleaning Science’s (BICSc) Standards will not be achieved, for the benefit of the client.

BBS reserve the right to remove candidates who the trainer believes will not meet the required BICSc Standards for the benefit of the other candidates. Attendance on the training does not guarantee passing. All candidates will be assessed on a one-on-one basis and must pass all tasks included in each skill assessment.

All training courses delivered on site are practical based; candidates must dress appropriately to carry out a practical task including wearing flat, covered shoes.

Please note that all our courses are currently only taught in English.

Any photographs taken by the client during training can be used for personal use. If the client wishes to use photos for external purposes (i.e. marketing) they must request approval from BBS.

 

Liability

Any training carried out by an Approved Associate Training Provider operates under licence; they are not direct employees of BBS or BICSc.

BBS and the Approved Associate Training Provider will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to personal items of the candidates or accompanying person or any other loss or injury caused to the candidates or accompanying person during or in connection with the training or technical support. This does not affect your statutory rights.

BBS does not accept responsibility for opinions expressed on its training courses. Opinions expressed are those of the individual trainers and not necessarily those of BBS or BICSc. If the client wishes to receive advice from BBS or BICSc they must contact us directly.

 

Cancellations

Cancellation by client

Customers wishing to cancel the bundle part way through the 12 months will be invoiced for any training days used but not yet accrued at the full list price, not the bundle rate. Any days paid for but not used will not be refunded.

The BBS terms and conditions will apply to any customer cancellations for booked training or technical support days as below:

All cancellations must be received in writing either by email to the address bbs@bicsbusinessservices.com or by physical letter to BBS, 9 Premier Court, Boarden Close, Moulton Park, Northampton, NN3 6LF, UK.

Clients needing to rearrange training dates may do so if such arrangement is done at least 10 working days prior to the scheduled course date; for the sake of clarity it is not possible to rearrange dates for the course less than 10 working days prior to the confirmed course dates. If course dates need to be changed within 10 days of the scheduled start date it will be deemed to be a cancellation.

Please see the cancellation policy below:
100% of the training time will be lost from overall Bundle total if training or technical support is cancelled within ten working days of agreed date.
Cancellations by the client received between 10 to 15 working days of any training or technical support: 50% of the training time will be lost from overall Bundle total.
Cancellations received 15 working days (or more) in advance of the scheduled training date: no days will be lost.

This agreement shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Note: These terms and conditions and cancellation policy have precedence over and above any conditions from any party.

 

Cancellation by BBS

Where the client has paid for training or technical support and BBS has cancelled, BBS shall provide an alternative date and equivalent course in quality and length within 10 days or as otherwise agreed with the client.
