This course looks at the scientific concepts underpinning the production and maintenance of hygienic environments, as well as covering the identification and control of hazards.
Upon completion, candidates will be able to make informed decisions regarding the choice of procedures and materials in the appropriate situation.
Infection Control Level 2 is an online course jointly certificated by the University of Northampton and The British Institute of Cleaning Science. The course is recommended for candidates responsible for delivering a safe and hygienic environment.
Candidates who complete the online course will receive the University of Northampton/British Institute of Cleaning Science Certificate of achievement as proof that they are qualified to carry out safe and hygienic practices in a working environment.

The course is assessed in two ways; a short answer self-assessment test and a final multiple-choice assessment.
There is a pass mark for the multiple-choice assessment of 70%. Candidates have the opportunity to sit the final test twice.
