The winners of this year’s prestigious BICSc Awards were announced at a glittering ceremony, which was a standout success.  

The renowned, prestigious, British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) Awards recognises the exceptional and exemplary efforts of industry stars from the global professional cleaning community.

 

Kelsey Hargreaves was our fabulous host for the industry-leading awards ceremony, supported by comedy star Jo Caulfield!

The Institute was overwhelmed with entries for this year’s awards, with winners announced at the ceremony staged at The Belfry Hotel & Resort.

"We were inundated with entries for this year’s awards which showcase and recognise the outstanding work of some of the standout stars from our diverse industry. The BICSc Awards are all about celebrating the incredible and vitally important work that goes on across the globe within the industry to keep environments clean and people safe.

Our industry-leading awards are always focused on putting our exceptional cleaning operatives in the spotlight and gives them an opportunity to shine – they were the true stars of the show."

An array of awards were presented to winners on the night which included:

Innovation Award

In collaboration with the CSSA

This award celebrates the success of a BICSc member that has demonstrated a focus on the use of technology processes and/or learning and development to drive an innovative evolution for their business or organisation. Focus will be on improving the overall quality of service, sustainability, safety and/or cost effectiveness for the business, as well as an improved workplace experience for the cleaning operative. 

Berkeley Services UAE L.L.C

Environmental (ESG) Award

In collaboration with the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners

This award recognises a BICSc Corporate Member that is focused on environmental and social governance (ESG). The company will need to show a rounded and comprehensive approach to environmental and social governance (ESG) within their business and it will be imperative that your whole team is engaged in the journey.

Tork, an Essity brand

Corporate Member of the Year

This award recognises a BICSc Corporate Member for their commitment to the BICSc ethos and principles. The award will look at how you promote BICSc within your organisation and how you promote BICSc externally. 

The Mount Charles Group

Accredited Training Member (ATM) of the Year

This award recognises the work of an Accredited Training Member who, through BICSc training and assessment, delivers exemplary cleaning and hygiene standards whilst promoting the value of BICSc ethos and principles. The award looks at how you deliver BICSc within your organisation and how you promote BICSc externally.

HMP Dumfries

Assessor of the Year

This award celebrates the success of an individual Assessor who has demonstrated an outstanding level of passion, professionalism, and commitment to excellence for their students in their role as an Assessor, whilst promoting the value of BICSc ethos and principles.

Ramu Thakuri

Accredited Trainer of the Year

This award celebrates the success of an individual Accredited Trainer who has demonstrated an outstanding level of passion, professionalism, and commitment to excellence for their students in their role as an Accredited Trainer, whilst promoting the value of BICSc ethos and principles. 

Immaculate Angwena

Cleaning Operative of the Year

This award is the most coveted award of all, it celebrates the success of an individual cleaning operative who has demonstrated an outstanding level of passion, professionalism, and commitment to excellence in their role, whilst promoting the value of BICSc ethos and principles. 

Louise Johnson

Outstanding Candidate of the Year

This award focuses on how a candidate has been able to achieve the recognition of becoming the outstanding candidate of the year through adversity or has gone the extra mile to complete and receive the qualifications within the workplace.

Mohammad Syful Islam Rahat Khalifa

Before the awards presentations got underway there was an exclusive exhibition and industry insights conference hosted by BICSc and staged at the venue with thought-provoking speakers and presentations from industry experts.
