Welcome to the ASSIST FM Cleaning Scholarship which will be delivered by The British Institute of Cleaning Science & We are Extra Ordinary Training, training providers for the HITS scholarship. This scholarship is aimed at front-line managers who manage cleaning & janitorial services.

Course Content

All candidates will attend an introductory in-person session at the start of the scholarship, and this will be an opportunity for candidates to share contact details and help each other on their training journeys.

The scholarship has been designed to include 2 in-person training sessions specifically designed to address existing challenges and skill gaps. These sessions will “top and tail” the programme and include: 

  • Boosting Resilience – pressure v performance
  • Leadership & Me – mindset, engagement
 

The remainder of the course will be completed on-line via BICSc Virtual Training Suite. Please note there are 2 modules which include working on a spreadsheet and completing an assessment.

SXL Main Office, Renfrewshire House, Paisley, PA1 1AR / First in-person session 10th September 2024

Duration

The programme will start on Tuesday 10th September 2024 and conclude December 2024. The candidates can work at their own pace, but the course will take about 1 week to complete, it is recommended that this is a planned approach spread over the duration of the scholarship. Time recommended to programme ½ day per week. BICSc will monitor and provide reports on progress to line managers.

Certification

All candidates will receive training certification.

Payment Method

Cost circa £700 (dependant on total number of scholars). This will be an upfront payment – it is intended that cleaning supplier community benefits will be used to pay for this scholarship.
