These awards are decided by the BICSc judges after an extensive application process

Innovation
Award

In collaboration with the CSSA

This award will celebrate the success of a BICSc member that has demonstrated a focus on the use of technology processes and/or learning and development to drive an innovative evolution for their business or organisation. Focus will be on improving the overall quality of service, sustainability, safety and/or cost effectiveness for the business, as well as an improved workplace experience for the cleaning operative.

As with all our awards, the company should promote the value of BICSc ethos and principles. To apply for this award, you will need to have been a BICSc member for the past 12 months.

Environmental (ESG) Award

In collaboration with the WORSHIPFUL COMPANY OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEANERS

This award recognises a BICSc corporate member that is focused on environmental and social governance (ESG). The company will need to show a rounded and comprehensive approach to environmental and social governance (ESG) within their business and It will be imperative that your whole team is engaged in the journey.

To apply for this award, you will need to have been a BICSc member for the past 12 months.

Judges will be looking for a company with a suitable environmental and social governance (ESG) plan in place that brings a benefit to both the organisation, clients and partners involved.

Youth Development Award

In collaboration with
Youth Employment UK

This award recognises BICSc member organisations that are youth friendly employers and promotes opportunities for the younger generation in the development of their business whilst promoting the value of BICSc ethos and principles. The organisation will need to be actively involved with promoting the cleaning industry to children and school leavers and have been a BICSc member for a minimum of 12 months.

Corporate Member
of the year

This award recognises a BICSc Corporate Member for their commitment to the BICSc ethos and principles. The award will look at how you promote BICSc within your organisation and how you promote BICSc externally. To apply for this award, you will need to have been a BICSc member for the past 12 months.

Accredited Training Member (ATM)
of the year

This award recognises the work of an accredited training member who, through BICSc training and assessment, deliver exemplary cleaning and hygiene standards whilst promoting the value of BICSc ethos and principles. The award will look for how you deliver BICSc within your organisation and how you promote BICSc externally. To apply for this award, you will need to have been a BICSc accredited training member for the past 12 months and have submitted assessments regularly.

Assessor
of the Year

This award celebrates the success of an individual assessor who has demonstrated an outstanding level of passion, professionalism, and commitment to excellence for their students in their role as an assessor, whilst promoting the value of BICSc ethos and principles. To apply for this award the assessor must be part of an active accredited training membership and been an assessor for a minimum of 12 months and have completed at least 10 assessments over the past 12 months.

Accredited Trainer
of the year

This award celebrates the success of an individual accredited trainer who has demonstrated an outstanding level of passion, professionalism, and commitment to excellence for their students in their role as an accredited trainer, whilst promoting the value of BICSc ethos and principles. To apply for this award the trainer must be part of an active accredited training membership and held the qualification of BICSc accredited trainer for a minimum of 12 months.

Cleaning Operative
of the year

This award is the most converted award of all, it celebrates the success of an individual cleaning operative who has demonstrated an outstanding level of passion, professionalism, and commitment to excellence in their role, whilst promoting the value of BICSc ethos and principles. To apply for this award the operative must hold the qualification of Licence to Practice (LTP) for a minimum of 12 months and potentially several skills.

Outstanding Candidate
of the year

This award focuses on how a candidate has been able to achieve the recognition of becoming the outstanding candidate of the year through adversity or has gone the extra mile to complete and receive the qualifications within the workplace. To apply for this award the candidate must have achieved a minimum of the qualification of Licence to Practice (LTP).

These awards will be nominated and voted on by BICSc Council.

Chairman's
Award

The Institute’s premier accolade is the most prestigious award which is presented to an inspirational individual who has demonstrated an ongoing outstanding contribution to the Institute and wider cleaning industry.

Eric Hill
Training Award

In honour of BICSc founder Eric Hill, this award goes to an individual for their outstanding, pioneering, past service to the Institute. It is given with specific attention to their exemplary contribution within the field of training and education alongside their unrelenting support of the Institute.

International
Award

This award is presented to an inspirational individual or outstanding organisation that has promoted BICSc training and standards outside the United Kingdom and achieved recognition of this within the cleaning industry, encouraging excellence on a global scale.
