BICSc Standardisation Day

If you are one of our Accredited Training Members (ATM) you will no doubt have experienced a visit (either in person or virtually) from one of the BICSc verifiers for your annual audit.

Or if you are a new ATM the verifier will have visited to verify that your assessors are following the BICSc standards in order to obtain their assessor licences.

To make sure that all of our verifiers and trainers are adhering to the BICSc standards that we review on a regular basis to make sure those standards are applicable to today’s industry, we regularly get the team together for a standardisation day so no matter which verifier you get, or which trainer runs the assessor practice day, everybody is treated exactly the same and given the same information.

Yesterday was the first standardisation day for 2024 when all the BICSc trainers, assessors and verifiers came together to be updated and practise their skills.

The first part of the day looked at the changes to the CPSS app and how they can enhance an assessor’s experience and make the assessment process more streamlined to ensure that the new assessors are fully aware of what is available to them as soon as they receive their assessor licence.

We also looked at the verification side of the app which is used by the verifier during an ATM’s annual audit which streamlines the process for our verifiers and for the ATM employees that are involved in the audit.

We outlined some changes that will be introduced when the current 3-yearly review of the CPSS skills is soon to be completed and released via the app.

The second half of the day was spent with the team playing lead assessor and candidate to ensure that all assessors follow a uniform assessment process.

Whilst there is a serious element to the day, it is rare that the team are all in the same place at the same time and gave us an opportunity to catch-up.

Our assessors and verifiers look forward to seeing you and passing on the latest standards and processes.
