Remembering The Duke of Edinburgh 1921 – 2021

The Institute would like to pay tribute to HRH The Duke of Edinburgh.

Husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who stood beside the Queen for over 70 years. Phillip had a notably successful military career between 1939 and 1952.

He was a patron, president or member of 100’s of organisations, and he served as chairman of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

He will be remembered as the longest-serving consort of a reigning British monarch and the longest-lived male member of the British Royal Family.

Philip retired from his royal duties in 2017, aged 96.  Philip passed away peacefully at Windsor castle on Friday 9th April, just two months before his 100th birthday.

Our thoughts are with the Royal Family at this time.
